Insertsanityhere was launched in 2011 as a blog about balancing career and parenthood. It has evolved over time to be a space for reflections and thoughts on any number of personal issues, including parenting, family life, aging, pop culture and even just simply memories from my own childhood.

The author is 20-year veteran of journalism with a career that began in television news and which eventually lead to business writing. She is currently chief editor of a B-2B publication serving security professionals and is a mother of two children based in New England.
